I'm waiting for a feast-dev member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

@judahrand the only thing really blocking us from moving forward is the fact that some users have indicated that they do want to have feature table support. The current plan is still to remove feature tables, but I just want to make sure that we aren't missing anything. I think it may be worth discussing it at our next community call and making sure that the community is aware of this change (perhaps by sending out an email on the feast-dev mailing list)

@adchia I've fixed the conflicts with master. Should be good to go whenever - though #2149 will introduce more conflicts depending on the order of the merges.
