Investigated upstream changes (v1.79.3 to v1.80.0): Pooled write buffers enabled by default (transparent perf win), TLS leaf-cert validation fix, xDS improvements (irrelevant). cli/cli only uses basic grpc.NewClient + insecure.NewCredentials for local codespace RPC. No applicable breaking changes.
