Summary

Reworks the scheduled task page right-hand sidebar.

  • Adds Overview / Schedules tabs. The Schedules tab is a paginated table of all schedules attached to the task, declarative first.
  • Surfaces schedule fields (ID, CRON + human-readable description, next/last run, status) directly in the Overview property table.
  • Sidebar can be dragged much wider (up to 80% of the viewport).
  • "No schedules attached" panel explains declarative vs imperative and links to docs.
  • Schedule create / edit / enable / disable / delete all happen inside the existing Sheet — no more navigating to the standalone schedule page. Toasts confirm each action.

Test plan

  • Open a scheduled task page and verify the new tabs
  • Create, edit, enable/disable, and delete a schedule — confirm you stay on the page and see a toast each time
  • Visit a task with no schedules attached and confirm the info panel renders
  • Drag the sidebar wider; confirm pagination shows when there are >25 schedules

Walkthrough

Six files are modified to implement an embedded-fetcher mutation flow for schedules. The schedules.$scheduleParam route loader now returns schedule: null instead of throwing 404, and both the schedule detail and schedules.new action routes detect _format=json to return JSON {ok, message/active} responses instead of redirects. UpsertScheduleForm and ScheduleInspector gain optional submitFetcher, activeToggleFetcher, deleteFetcher, and onEdit props that switch form submission to use fetcher-backed forms with _format=json. CreateScheduleSheet and ScheduleSheet are rewritten as mode-based (inspect/edit) state machines with per-action useFetcher instances, useRef dedupe guards, toast feedback, and revalidator.revalidate() on success. ScheduledTaskDetailSidebar gains tabbed "Overview"/"Schedules" navigation with pagination, a NoSchedulesAttachedPanel, and a ScheduleMissingPanel. Two minor files fix documentation link paths by removing leading slashes from path arguments.

Remove leading slashes from docsPath calls for consistency. Both files newly pass /ai-chat/sessions with a leading slash to docsPath(), creating double slashes in the generated URLs (https://trigger.dev/docs//ai-chat/sessions). The established pattern in the codebase is to pass relative paths without a leading slash.

  • apps/webapp/app/components/BlankStatePanels.tsx#L200-L206: Change docsPath("/ai-chat/sessions") to docsPath("ai-chat/sessions")
  • apps/webapp/app/routes/_app.orgs.$organizationSlug.projects.$projectParam.env.$envParam.sessions._index/route.tsx#L87: Change docsPath("/ai-chat/sessions") to docsPath("ai-chat/sessions")

Learning: In apps/webapp/app/routes/_app.orgs.$organizationSlug.projects.$projectParam.env.$envParam.environment-variables/route.tsx, the menu buttons (e.g., Edit with PencilSquareIcon) in the TableCellMenu are intentionally icon-only with no text labels as a compact UI pattern. Learning: In projects using react-grid-layout, avoid relying on drag-handle class to imply draggability. Ensure drag-handle elements only affect dragging when the parent grid item is configured draggable in the layout; conditionally apply cursor styles based on the draggable prop. These clipboard writes are intentionally invoked without `await` and without `catch` handlers across the project; keep that behavior consistent when reviewing TypeScript/TSX files (e.g., usages like in `apps/webapp/app/components/code/TextEditor.tsx`).

Learning: In the triggerdotdev/trigger.dev codebase, webhook URLs are not expected to contain embedded credentials/secrets (e.g., fields like `ProjectAlertWebhookProperties` should only hold credential-free webhook endpoints). During code review, if you see logging or inclusion of raw webhook URLs in error messages, do not automatically treat it as a credential-leak/secrets-in-logs issue by default—first verify the URL does not contain embedded credentials (for example, no username/password in the URL, no obvious secret/token query params or fragments). If the URL is credential-free per this project’s conventions, allow the logging.

Learning: When handling Prisma error P1001 ("Can't reach database server") in TypeScript, don’t assume a single error shape. Prisma can surface P1001 via two different error classes/fields: `PrismaClientKnownRequestError` exposes it as `err.code === "P1001"` (common during mid-query connection drops), while `PrismaClientInitializationError` exposes it as `err.errorCode === "P1001"` (common on client startup failure). Therefore, predicates should use `err.code === "P1001" || err.errorCode === "P1001"`. Do not flag `err.code === "P1001"` as “unreachable/never matches,” as it is expected in production.

Learning: In triggerdotdev/trigger.dev route loader implementations (Remix `route.tsx` files under `apps/webapp/app/routes/**`), follow the existing convention for missing/unauthorized environment lookups: when `findEnvironmentBySlug` (or the equivalent env resolver) returns a falsy value, handle it by throwing `new Error("Environment not found")` rather than returning a `404` `Response` (i.e., do not flag this as “missing 404 response”). Learning: In the triggerdotdev/trigger.dev codebase, treat Zod as a boundary validation tool (API handlers, request/response validation, and storage/DB read/write validation), not as inline render-time validation inside React components/primitive UI code. For render-time guards, prefer small manual type-narrowing checks (e.g., a short predicate like ~10–20 lines) over importing Zod into UI primitives, to avoid per-render schema-parse overhead and unnecessary abstraction. Use the manual guard approach unless you truly need schema validation at a boundary; only then introduce Zod.

Learning: In this Remix + TypeScript codebase, do not flag a server/client boundary violation when a file imports only types from a module matching `*.server`.

Specifically, it’s safe to import types using `import type { Foo } from "*.server"` or `import { type Foo } from "*.server"` because TypeScript erases type-only imports at compile time and they emit no JavaScript, so they won’t cross the Remix server/client bundle boundary.

Only raise the boundary concern for value imports (e.g., `import { Foo }` without `type`, or `import Foo`), since those produce JavaScript output.

Learning: When rendering lists of task registry items in apps/webapp (e.g., <SelectItem /> rows) and using `key={item.slug}`, do not flag it as potentially non-unique. In trigger.dev’s `TaskIdentifier` table, the DB constraint `@unique([runtimeEnvironmentId, slug])` guarantees `slug` is unique within a given runtime environment, so `item.slug` is safe as the React key as long as the list is derived from that registry/constraint (and not from a legacy query that could produce duplicate slugs).

- Schedule detail action: honor `_format=json` in the project-not-found
guard so fetcher callers get a structured error envelope.
- ScheduleSheet: treat schedule data as loading when its friendlyId
doesn't match the currently open id (fixes stale-data flash when
  switching schedules).
- ScheduleSheet: render an explicit "schedule no longer exists" panel
when the loader returns `null`, instead of an infinite spinner.

- Remove unused `cond` import from `effect/STM` in `schedules.new` route.
- Drop the leading slash from `docsPath("ai-chat/sessions")` in two
spots so the generated URL doesn't double up on `/`.

@coderabbitai both review nits addressed in commit 6675e0b:

  • Unused cond import (schedules.new/route.tsx:61): removed.
  • Leading slash on docsPath("/ai-chat/sessions") (BlankStatePanels.tsx and sessions._index/route.tsx): switched to docsPath("ai-chat/sessions") to avoid the docs//ai-chat/sessions double slash. (The handful of other leading-slash docsPath calls in the codebase predate this PR — left them alone for scope.)

@samejr: Both fixes look clean — thanks for the details! Removing the unused cond import tidies things up nicely, and switching to docsPath("ai-chat/sessions") (no leading slash) correctly avoids the double-slash in the generated URL. Leaving the pre-existing leading-slash calls untouched is a sensible scope decision.

Mirrors the detail-fetcher staleness check: when the user opens schedule
B's edit form after editing schedule A, the prior `editFetcher.data`
no longer matches the open schedule's friendlyId — show the spinner
instead of briefly flashing A's data.

The activeToggleFetcher effect previously short-circuited on `!data?.ok`
and never surfaced server-returned errors (the update and delete effects
already handled this). Split into success/failure branches so an
`{ ok: false, message }` envelope from the action triggers `toast.error`
instead of silently re-enabling the button.

The toggle and update effects reloaded `detailFetcher` (refreshing the
inspector inside the sheet) but didn't call `revalidator.revalidate()`,
so the page-level loader's `scheduleList` stayed stale — the sidebar's
Status/CRON/Next-run properties and the schedules mini-table didn't
reflect the change. Brought both effects in line with the create and
delete flows.

- UpsertScheduleForm: derive a per-schedule `useForm` id
(`edit-schedule-{friendlyId}` vs `create-schedule`) so both sheets
can coexist in the DOM without clashing `htmlFor` targets or
  conform's internal error routing.
- ScheduleSheet: drop `detailFetcher.state === "loading"` from
  `isDetailLoading`. The stale-schedule and no-data-yet checks already
cover the cases where we genuinely lack good data; a background
reload (e.g. after enable/disable) now keeps the inspector visible
with its current values until the fresh data arrives, instead of
  flashing a spinner.
