I did this because I got the latest macOS arm and Xcode updates and started getting compilation errors in this lib about undefined types. It was easier to just upgrade the whole thing rather than figure out how/where to patch it to fix the issue.
I've tested this on mac, windows and web builds and it haven't noticed any font behaviour changes or rendering artefacts.
