The
_version.pymodule works great and we use it in several projects, but when we make a change to it it gets a little awkward, because there is no "reference".So I decided to just make one here: https://github.com/pygfx/_version
And I added a few lines of code so we can update to the latest reference using a simple command in the terminal. So that any future changes are easy to deploy in all repos where we use it.
