we support osx-64 and win-64 right now (not yet linux), man i find this process tough. there must be an easier way! but i can't seem to find it...

in order to do a:

conda install -c https://conda.binstar.org/plotly plotly

we need to provide a build for your specific platform ( sad face ), or so i'm lead to believe...

@etpinard , @chriddyp , i think this is necessary for us to do, anaconda users often have a rough go of it...

ultimately, i'd like to have a little thing we can run that deploys the python api: 1. run the tests on supported versions, 2. hucks it up on pypi, 3. makes separate builds for binstar and 4. uploads binstar builds

one day.

where do the "builds" happen?
