It would be very beneficial if the Bigtable client was instrumented to collect traces using OpenTelemetry.

The issue #2483 is about deprecating OpenCensus, and that a separate issue will track implementing tracing using OpenTelemetry. However, no such issue was filed. The OpenCensus website recommends users to migrate by July 31st 2023, a date which has obviously long past. The website also mentions tooling for making the migration simpler.
