… helper Channel-based instrumentation is the v11 default, so the test helper was hardcoded to `true`. Collapse every call site to its channel branch, drop the dead OTel branches, and delete the helper (unblocked by JS-3074). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
