Reverts #9611
Reverting the regex fix, because we're getting an error in console
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null. The fix was primarily for Safari 10 (which is still in beta) so will try to use the real fix with an npm module instead of this troublesome, make-shift browser-detector.js asap.
