This 🐰🕳️🐉 PR is an attempt to automate updating
pyproject.tomlto follow the recommendations in SPEC 0 via a Nox session.I typically update PlasmaPy's requirements to follow SPEC 0 recommendations shortly before or soon after a release. This is moderately annoying to do since it adds a ∼20 minute manual step to our release process.
The implementation was made significantly easier because a lot of the needed functionality was provided by
pyproject_parser,dep_logic,nep29, anduv. I'm considering how useful it would be to create a standalone Python package that automates SPEC 0 updates, since probably a bunch of other package maintainers would find it useful. The implementation is kind of a mess so far, but the holiday weekend awaits!
