What

Adds Open Graph + Twitter Card social preview metadata and a branded 1200×630 preview image to the ExtSentry site.

Problem: index.html has a <title> and <meta name="description">, but zero og:/twitter: tags. Every time an ExtSentry link is shared on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, or iMessage, the unfurl shows a blank card with no image, no title, and no description — a wasted impression for a threat-intelligence feed that gets shared in security channels constantly.

What's included:

  • Full Open Graph set: og:type, og:site_name, og:url, og:title, og:description, og:image (+ width/height/type), with absolute production URLs — works locally at file:// and in CI.
  • Twitter Card summary_large_image (title/description/image).
  • og-image.png — a 1200×630 card built from the site's own dark palette (#0a0c10 ground, orange accent) with the puzzle-piece sentry mark, wordmark, and threat-intel feed chips.
  • scripts/gen-og-image.py — a portable, Pillow-only generator (no machine paths, no network deps) so the image is reproducible from a fresh checkout.

Verified: image is a valid 1200×630 PNG; generator runs from repo root; all 14 tags present in the built index.html.

Live preview: https://extsentry.github.io/ (after merge, shares will unfurl as cards)

index.html had title+description but zero og:/twitter: tags, so every
shared link rendered as a blank card. Add the full OG set (type,
site_name, url, title, description, 1200x630 image + dims) and Twitter
Card summary_large_image with absolute production URLs, plus a branded
1200x630 og-image.png generated from the site's own palette
(#0a0c10 ground, fiery puzzle-piece sentry mark) via a portable
Pillow-only generator.
