Manage payment methods on the Google Wallet website

Important: Any changes you make to cards in Google Wallet will also be reflected in your Google Account.

Add a payment method

Go to the Google Wallet website.
On the left, click Payment methods.
Click Add payment method Add credit or debit card.

Tip: If you link a bank account when you send an international transfer, you can instantly add it with Plaid. Manage your accounts linked with Plaid (US only).

Edit a payment method

Edit a card

Go to the Google Wallet website.
On the left, click Payment methods.
Click the payment method.
Click Edit.

If you get a notification to fix an expired card, click Fix now.

Edit a bank account

Important: This feature is only available in the US. To edit a bank account, remove and re-add the bank account to your account.

Remove a payment method

Important:

If you remove a payment method from the Google Wallet website, it also removes the payment method from your Google account.
Removing a payment method from the website may not remove it from the Google Wallet app. Learn more about changes to payment methods.

Go to the Google Wallet website.
On the left, click Payment methods.
Click the payment method that you want to remove.
Click Remove.

Turn virtual card numbers on or off (US only)

Important: This feature is currently available for eligible cards in the US only.

You may be able to use a virtual card number (VCN) to keep your card info more secure. Learn more about using virtual card numbers to pay online or in apps.

Go to the Google Wallet website.
On the left, click Payment methods.
Select a payment method.
Click Turn on or Turn off.

Tip: This is a different virtual card number from what is displayed in the Google Wallet app.

Common questions

Which payment methods are supported?

You can add, edit, or remove a debit card, credit card, or bank account to the Google Wallet website.

Tip: Payment options vary by country or region and select merchants. The Google Wallet website supports similar payment methods as the Google Wallet app. Learn more about Google Wallet supported payment methods.

What if a saved payment method doesn’t appear?

Some payment methods, like Google store financing, aren’t available on the Google Wallet website. Check other payment methods saved in your Google Account.

If I have the Google Wallet app, are changes to a payment method on this website reflected in the app?

If the payment method isn’t already in the Google Wallet app:

If you add a payment method to the website, you still need to add the payment method in the app. Learn more about adding a debit or credit card with the Google Wallet app.

If the payment method is already in the Google Wallet app and saved in your Google Account:

If you edit the payment method on the website, changes will reflect in the app.
Removing the payment method on the website removes it from your Google Account, but it'll still be available in the Google Wallet app. To remove a payment method from the Google Wallet app on a specific device:
1. Go to the Google Wallet website.
2. On the left, click Payment methods.
3. Tap the payment method.
4. For any device listed, tap More .
5. Tap Remove from device.
  Tips:
  - When you add a payment method through Google Wallet app, it'll also be available to pay online and across Google services (like YouTube and the Play Store).
  - When you remove a payment method from a device, it won't be available to tap to pay on that device. The payment method will still be available to pay online and across Google services (like YouTube and the Play Store).
