When we created this repo, Google counsel advised we put in an antitrust policy, because there wasn't yet a blanket policy for the modelcontextprotocol organization.
That has since changed, as there is now an antitrust policy for the MCP project, and we've been advised that it should be OK to remove our ad-hoc policy. This will help simplify our contribution guidelines and reduce friction for folks contributing to multiple MCP repos.
This issue tracks that work. I'm opening it as a proposal to allow time for discussion. If no objection, I'll remove the ad-hoc policy after a week.
