Currently, Nexus client interactions are split between using unexposed, experimental arguments and retrieving things from the the Nexus execution context.
In #1689, a cleaner pattern was introduced that factored request/response manipulation to be helper functions in the Nexus module and use the Nexus execution context exclusively.
This issue is to track the consolidation of these to reflect the new pattern.
