acsc

Compute the arccosecant of a number.

Usage

var acsc = require( '@stdlib/math/base/special/acsc' );

acsc( x )

Computes the arccosecant of x.

var v = acsc( 1.0 );
// returns ~1.57

v = acsc( -3.141592653589793 );
// returns ~-0.32

If |x| < 1, the function returns NaN.

var v = acsc( 0.5 );
// returns NaN

Examples

var uniform = require( '@stdlib/random/array/uniform' );
var logEachMap = require( '@stdlib/console/log-each-map' );
var acsc = require( '@stdlib/math/base/special/acsc' );

var x = uniform( 100, 1.1, 5.1, {
    'dtype': 'float64'
});

logEachMap( 'acsc(%0.4f) = %0.4f', x, acsc );

C APIs

Usage

#include "stdlib/math/base/special/acsc.h"

stdlib_base_acsc( x )

Computes the arccosecant of a double-precision floating-point number.

double out = stdlib_base_acsc( 1.0 );
// returns ~1.57

The function accepts the following arguments:

  • x: [in] double input value.
double stdlib_base_acsc( const double x );

Examples

#include "stdlib/math/base/special/acsc.h"
#include <stdio.h>

int main( void ) {
    const double x[] = { -5.0, -3.89, -2.78, -1.67, -0.56, 0.56, 1.67, 2.78, 3.89, 5.0 };

    double v;
    int i;
    for ( i = 0; i < 10; i++ ) {
        v = stdlib_base_acsc( x[ i ] );
        printf( "acsc(%lf) = %lf\n", x[ i ], v );
    }
}
