Add proactive monitoring for our nightly builds聽#800
Description
This is a reminder task. 馃槃
We need should add some kind of proactive monitoring for the nightly OSX builds:
- Something external to the build box, which checks daily to see if a new build is present
- This will catch any problems with the build box not automatically coming out of sleep mode then building
- Add failure detection to the nightly build script, to proactively alert us to failures in the build process
- Detecting failure is probably fairly simple to do, by checking the return codes from the
makecommand - This should probably email the db4s-dev mailing list so we see the problem

Could this be added to the Windows nightlies too?

Good thinking. An external check of that should be workable.
We don't have access to the current windows build script though, so making it automatically alert on failures itself isn't feasible. The external check should be good enough for now.

Or maybe it's time to build the Windows nightlies ourselves.

It's a good idea. It's just needs someone to write the windows build scripts.
