Description

@Jonrysh

Is there any documentation for Sqlite Browser? If so, where? In particular, what do the "Filter" buttons do?

    There's no User Interface documentation yet. 😦

    Yeah, we understand this sucks. We've been putting a lot of time into getting bugs fixed, updating compiling instructions, and working on other non-UI documentation stuff. We'll get to the UI docs over the next few weeks.

    For the Filter buttons, are you meaning the "Filter" fields in the Browse Data tab?

    If so, they're a place for tying in basic SQL 'where' clause filter. For example, putting 'a%' in the filter for a text field will then only show stuff starting with the 'a' character. '%' is the wild card in SQL. (things like '%foo%' and '%bar' will work in similar way)

    Does that help at all?

    I've just written a bit of documentation regarding the filters. I case I didn't cover all questions in there, please let me know. Here's the link: https://github.com/sqlitebrowser/sqlitebrowser/wiki/Using-the-Filters

    @MKleusberg Good stuff. Screenshot/pics + explanation is a very good approach. 👍

    Since nobody complained about missing details in the wiki page I guess it's safe to close this issue.
