After installing Python 3.14 using Python Install Manager 25.2, my computer displayed the message "'pip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file." #250
When I downloaded an older version of Python from the official Python website,
the website didn't provide an executable installer for download.
I had to use the provided Python install manager.
However, a major problem arose: after installation, according to post #121 , my pip was gone, and it displayed the error message "'pip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file."
Frankly, this is a bit unconventional and...
I hope they add pip soon; it's really inconvenient.
Guessing you've closed it because you saw #121, and the fact that it should be fixed in a later release (once I get caught up on notifications).
But the immediate workaround (which has been broadly recommended by everyone for years) is to write py -m pip ... and/or py -m venv ... and then activate the virtual environment (which will put a fresh pip command on your PATH).
