WebAuthn feature support matrix #495

Summary

RPs implementing passkeys they may wish to test their implementation with different passkey providers. It could be helpful to the RP to know which WebAuthn features are supported by different providers.

Details

Here are a list of features which could be listed in a support matrix against a list of passkey providers:

• Conditional get
• Conditional create
• Client hints
• Related Origin Requests
• PRF support
• Large blob support
• Well-known passkey endpoint manage
• Well-known passkey endpoint enroll
• Well-known passkey endpoint prfUsage
• Signals API
• Credential Manager Trust Group Key (for future use)
• Credential Exchange support

For each provider the matrix could show support for each of their supported platforms/browsers:

• Windows
• iOS/iPadOS
• Android
• macOS
• Linux
• Chrome browser extension*
• Firefox browser extension*
• Edge browser extension*
• Safari browser extension*

*this could be a single entry, unless providers have varying support across different browsers.

TBD: Could this also cover things like Wear OS, watchOS, VR/AR headsets etc
