currently mode indication is the cursor (block vs bar) which is nice but not ideal.
we add a toast on mode changes which is a bit too noisy (configurable, can be turned off)
ideally we would have a subtle mode indicator inside the prompt input box
The failing file is inside the cached plugin's node_modules.
Cause
OpenTUI's Solid transform excludes files under node_modules. The runtime prescan sees the source before JSX adds the jsx-dev-runtime import, so it has nothing to rewrite. Bun then generates the import and resolves it natively, which fails.
Release check
OpenCode 1.18.25 has identical relevant runtime code to 1.18.21, and both pin OpenTUI 0.4.5. OpenTUI 0.5.9 still excludes node_modules from the Solid transform.
Local path testing with "plugin": ["."] does not reproduce this. An npm-source tarball such as name@file:/absolute/package.tgz or the real git+https://...#ref form is required.
Honestly, cursor is absolutely enough, if you're worried people wouldn't know what mode they're in, and are looking for feedback... I got used to it very quick, I'm pretty sure the majority of other Vim users feel the same.
thanks for the feedback :) i'm still giving it a try from time to time. OpenCode has some issue with UI elements in plugins (possibly only for those distributed through git directly, not sure). In anycase, if and when i'll be able to solve it, there will be a config to turn visuals off.
