How do I mark a file as not a license? #152708

Select Topic AreaGeneral BodyDue to the specifics of the Unity engine, an additional LICENSE.meta file is generated to the LICENSE file. GitHub sees a license in the file name and displays the contents of a meta file that does not contain the text of the license itself. Unfortunately, I can't just delete the file and add it to git-ignore, Unity's PackageManager will repeatedly try to create a meta file back in the folder, and then immediately complain that this is an immutable folder and nothing can be created in it. Since the mechanism for displaying the license in the repository is on the GitHub side, I would like to somehow mark that the LICENSE.meta file is not a license and the text of the file should not be displayed in a separate tab. |
