Add a link item to the workspace-node context menu for creating link nodes between existing nodes #5863

Description

Creating links between nodes currently takes several manual steps. Users need to add a link out node and a link in node, configure them, connect them to the original nodes, and position them in the correct flows. This can be time-consuming, especially when working with large projects or regularly creating links between flows.

I created the following plugin which now serves as a concept:

node-red-contrib-quick-link

The plugin adds a Link submenu to the node context menu. A user can mark one node, right-click another node, and select Link to or Link from. The required link nodes are then created, connected, named, and positioned automatically.

I was asked to contribute this plugin as a native Node-RED editor feature and would like to work on the implementation.

~ Let me know what more could be considered regarding this feature request.

Thank you for this; I’d like to propose a simpler version for the core:

    demo-quick-links.mov

PS: I still need to find a more explicit way of phrasing it.
