Debug with Copilot

A repository containing Python programs designed to help new developers learn to debug with GitHub Copilot.

Important

The code in this repository includes bugs, and should only be used to complete the exercises in Learning to debug with GitHub Copilot.

Setup and run

Prerequisites

Before you can run the programs in this repository, you need to install Python on your system.

Cloning the repository

To clone this repository locally, run the following command from your terminal:

git clone https://github.com/new2code/debug-with-copilot.git

Running the programs

  1. To open the repository's directory, run the following command from your terminal:

    cd debug-with-copilot
  2. To run either program on Mac or Linux, run the following command from your terminal:

    python FILE-NAME-AND-EXTENSION

    Otherwise, to run either program on Windows, run the following command from the command line:

    py FILE-NAME-AND-EXTENSION
