I'm using linuxdeploy Release 2.0.0-alpha-1-20241106 (static) but the AppImages are still not compatible fuse3, not like the last appimagetool release (https://github.com/AppImage/appimagetool/releases/) where it's supported. Have you plan to update linuxdeploy with your (@TheAssassin) fixes?
I suppose that Found appimagetool: /tmp/.mount_linuxdeeJIMn/plugins/linuxdeploy-plugin-appimage/usr/bin/appimagetool is outdated...
EDIT: I confirm (2023) appimagetool, continuous build (commit 5735cc5), build <local dev build> built on 2023-03-08 22:52:04 UTC
EDIT2: it seems that just a rebuild of linuxdeploy-plugin-appimage should fix this problem, since that the last appimagetool is downloaded with the bundle script: https://github.com/linuxdeploy/linuxdeploy-plugin-appimage/blob/352d963e365be1278f3a86b43ddbb76f08333406/ci/build-bundle.sh#L51
