TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'int' and 'str'

a = 10
b = "5"

result = a + b
print(result)

TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'int' and 'str'

a = 10
b = "5"

result = a + int(b)
print(result)

I mixed types without noticing and tried to add them directly.
