The average dev has probably run across: * `Signed-off-by` And in fact, the initial welcome [message](https://github.com/gitgitgadget/git/pull/934#issuecomment-821328483) has: > * Finally, the commit messages should end in a [Signed-off-by:](https://git-scm.com/docs/SubmittingPatches#dco) line matching the commits' author. A dev who spends a lot of time in GitHub may run across: * `Co-authored-by` But, git [appears to also have](https://github.com/git/git/blob/a0dda6023ed82b927fa205c474654699a5b07a82/t/t7502-commit-porcelain.sh): * `Helped-by` * `Reported-by` * `Mentored-by` The bot doesn't seem to suggest anything else. And the repository doesn't have any documentation that mentions `helped-by`.

Note: there is a small mention of some of these trailers in the last paragraph of https://git-scm.com/docs/SubmittingPatches/#send-patches
