**Microsoft Specific**  
  
 Assigns a string to this `_variant_t` object.  
  
## Syntax  
  
```  
  
void SetString(const char* pSrc);  
```  
  
#### Parameters  
 `pSrc`  
 Pointer to the character string.  
  
## Remarks  
 Converts an ANSI character string to a Unicode `BSTR` string and assigns it to this `_variant_t` object.
