Describe the bug
I am using Windows and have this user directory 'c:\Users\PatrickLamber(Easy'.
When running the command gh copilot it throws the exception "'c:\Users\PatrickLamber' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
Affected version
gh version 2.89.0 (2026-03-26)
Steps to reproduce the behavior
You should have a windows user directory like this 'c:\Users\PatrickLamber(Easy'.
- type gh copilot
- View the output '....'
- See error
'c:\Users\PatrickLamber' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Expected vs actual behavior
It correctly picks my user folder and proceeds
