Shows how to use the AWS SDK for JavaScript (v3) to work with Amazon CloudWatch.
CloudWatch provides a reliable, scalable, and flexible monitoring solution that you can start using within minutes.

Run a single action
node ./actions/<fileName>Run a scenario
Most scenarios can be run with the following command:
node ./scenarios/<fileName>Run with options
Some actions and scenarios can be run with options from the command line:
node ./scenarios/<fileName> --option1 --option2util.parseArgs is used to configure
these options. For the specific options available to each script, see the parseArgs usage
for that file.
This example shows you how to do the following:
- List CloudWatch namespaces and metrics.
- Start OpenTelemetry enrichment so CloudWatch correlates incoming OTLP metrics with the resources that produced them.
- See how OTLP metrics reach the CloudWatch metrics endpoint. Metric ingestion over OTLP is not an AWS SDK operation.
- Create an alarm that evaluates a PromQL query.
- Inspect the alarm's contributors, the individual series that the query matched.
- Get statistics for a metric and chart it on a dashboard.
- Mute the alarm for a maintenance window, then clean up.
