Frédéric Collonval is a Scientific Software Developer at QuantStack. He got graduated at the Polytechnic Faculty of Mons (Belgium) and at French aerospace engineering school ISAE-Supaero. Then he passed his PhD at TU Munich (Germany) on combustion modeling. Later he developed scientific softwares in aeronautics and more recently for identity verification.

Frederic co-founded CoSApp when working at Safran Group, a modeling framework relying on the Python scientific stack and JupyterLab.

As an open source developer, Frederic is contributing to various projects in the jupyter eco-system. Most notably, he is maintainer of Git and Gator (packages and environments management) extensions for JupyterLab. He tries to help others getting started with JupyterLab by contributing to the extension examples and by managing the JupyterLab Community contribution GitHub organization.
