The new layout was introduced in 2019; it became the default in version 4.6, in 2025.

The legacy skin creates some issues with layout, and adds quite a lot of extraneous code with relatively little value.

Note: this would be a breaking change.

I don't think that this variation adds a lot of value for the player, and would be best removed.
