As an intermediary step towards removing jQuery, switch to the Slim version. This eliminates AJAX and effects libraries.

Able Player doesn't use effects libraries (at least not in any significant way that I'm aware of yet), so this really just means updating the relatively few AJAX queries made.

    There are a few animations using fadeOut and some instances of hide() with a timer. These will need to be re-treated.

    The slim package also removes jQuery's Deferrals package. PR replaces jQuery Deferrals with a vanilla JS alternative and all AJAX queries.
