Filtering data before event definition #102

Does ThreadNet allow the user to filter (subset) the data at the time of reading it? If yes, the feature is not easy to find. If no, why not? The subset step comes a bit too late, as "Define Events" is pretty computationally intensive and can crash the software before one gets the chance to subset the data.
