Problem Description
There is a strange bug in Handbrake that has been affecting my files for months and I just discovered it by accident.
In version 1.10 of Handbrake, this option was added that allowed the user to change the default range. I also set the range to seconds for convenience since the release of version 1.10 until today, when I am using 1.10.2.
But the seconds and frames options have a terrible bug. Unlike the chapters option, which seems to work without a problem, the seconds and frames options remove the ends of the files. For example, if you give Handbrake a file that is 30 frames per second and its content is 238 frames, if the range is on seconds, the output will always be rounded to the nearest second and the output will be 7 seconds. In this process, 28 frames of your video were discarded by Handbrake!
This explains some shorter-than-expected videos I made with Handbrake. This issue has affected more than a few dozen of my files over the past few months. The current solution is to use chapters, but this issue needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
