When you register your account or use Sogou’s products and services, Sogou may, upon your consent and confirmation, collect relevant personal information provided by you, such as name, gender, age, date of birth, ID number, bank card number, Email address, telephone number, mailing address, occupation and education level, etc. Device information refers to the information about the device that you use for Sogou’s products or services. When you use Sogou’s products or services, Sogou collects information about your device for using Sogou’s products or services, such as device name, device model, device ID, operating system and application version, language setting, resolution, and network ID of the service provider (PLMN), etc. This information can help Sogou to provide you with better information display or product services. (1)When you turn on the device location feature and use related products or services of Sogou, Sogou may use GPS, WiFi or other technical means to collect and process information about your actual location. (1)Use details of Sogou’s products and services, such as the web search terms you use, the address of the pages you visit, and other information and detailed content that you browse or is requested when you use Sogou’s services; statistical data of user habits, such as the setting item information when you use Sogou input method, the number of use of some keys and the number of words on the screen etc. Such data is anonymous. Sogou cannot locate the specific user based on the uploaded data. (2)Device or software information, such as the configuration information provided by your mobile device, web browser, or other programs used to access Sogou’s products or services, the version of the mobile device, and the device identification number etc. (3)Device event information, such as crashes, system activity and other information. (4)IP address. (5)Information about the mobile applications (APPs) and related software you used, as well as information about your use of such mobile applications and software. For example, the skin change function of Sogou input method will access the skin that the user has installed. If you do not want to be accessed, you may choose to turn off related function, but this may affect Sogou’s provision of related services to you. 1.For authentication, customer service, security, archiving, backup and other purposes when Sogou provides products and services, to ensure the security of Sogou’s products and services provided to you. 2.Guarantee the normal realization of the products or services provided to you, as shown below. (1)Collect your geographical location and destination information etc. when you use Sogou’s map products, in order to help you plan the best route; (2)In order to realize the function of personalized recommendation, understand how you access and use Sogou’s products and services to specifically respond to your individual needs, such as language setting, location setting, personalized help services and instructions, or to make other responses to you and other users. 3.Improve existing products and services of Sogou to enhance user experience, as shown below. (1) Sogou may collect your browsing information, your interests and hobbies (you can select in the account settings) to conduct data analysis, to show you the information about services you are interested in, or to show you the information that you may wish to find when searching. (2)Sogou may also obtain your other information for the purpose of providing services and the reasonable needs of improving the services, including relevant information you provide when contacting the customer service, the questionnaire reply sent to Sogou when you participate in the survey, and relevant information Sogou obtains when you interact with Sogou. (3)Sogou may associate the information collected from your various devices to provide you with consistent services on these devices. (4)Sogou may combine information from one service with that from other services to provide you with services, personalized content and recommendations. 4.Help Sogou design new products and services. For example, Sogou may request users to participate in the User Experience Improvement Program in the provision of certain products or services. It will make statistics of the use of various functions of products and services for users joining the User Experience Improvement Program as required. This can improve the quality of products and services through analysis on statistical data and introduce innovative products and services that are helpful to users. If you do not want to participate in the Program, you can choose to turn off relevant features in related products/services. 5.Sogou may use your relevant information to provide you with more relevant advertising or promotional information. Sogou may also use your information to provide or promote goods and services of Sogou or third parties to you by sending marketing information to you through Sogou’s services, email or other means. If you do not want Sogou to use your personal information for the aforementioned purposes, you may request Sogou to stop using your personal information for the above purposes through related channels provided by Sogou in related products or services. 6.Software Certification or Management Software Upgrades. 7.Your authorization is not required for collecting and using your relevant information in accordance with laws and regulations under the following circumstances: (1)Related to national security and national defense security; (2)Related to public safety, public health and major public interests; (3)Related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgment; (4)It is difficult to obtain personal consent for the protection of the subject of personnel information or material legitimate rights and interests such as the lives and property of other individuals. The information subject will not be identified upon de-identification. Please understand and agree that Sogou has the right to use de-identified information in this case; and has the right to analyze the user database and use it commercially without revealing your personal information. 3.Please note that unless you remove all personal information provided by you when you use Sogou’s products and/or services or refuse Sogou’s collection through system settings, you will be deemed to have authorized Sogou to use such information constantly during the term you use Sogou’s products and/or services.
