We’re rolling out two new Google Chrome features to help improve your focus: ↕️ Organize your tabs vertically If you’re like me and prefer working off of a large monitor, vertical tabs are perfect for freeing up some real estate at the top of your screen. Just right-click at the top of any Chrome window and click “Show Tabs Vertically.” This moves your tabs to the side of your browser, so you can read full page titles and manage tab groups with ease — even with lots of tabs open. You can also pin your most important tabs for easy access. 📖 Deepen your focus with full-page reading mode Reading mode now has a full-page interface that reduces visual clutter and turns busy webpages into an immersive, text-focused reading experience. You can also customize fonts, colors, text sizes and more to your liking. And if you’re multitasking, you can listen to articles instead. Personally, I can't imagine browsing without either of these features now. Excited to hear your thoughts once you try them!

Mental health is one of the most significant public health challenges today, impacting over one billion people around the world. For many years, Google has been committed to helping people find high-quality information and crisis support in the moments they need it most. While we realize that AI tools can pose new challenges, we believe that responsible AI can play a positive role for people’s mental well-being. Today, we’re sharing an update on our mental health work, including some new changes to better connect people with the right information, resources, and human support at the right time on the Gemini app, including: -Updates to Gemini to streamline the path to support for those who need it. When a conversation might signal a user may need information about mental health Gemini will surface a redesigned "Help is available" module — developed with clinical experts — to provide more effective and immediate connections to care. -$30 million in Google.org funding globally over the next three years to help global hotlines. This funding will help effectively scale their capacity to provide immediate and safe support for people in crisis. -As people interact with Gemini in deeper, more complex ways, our clinical, engineering and safety teams are helping Gemini respond in acute mental health situations and directing people to real-world help. -New specific protections for minors, designed to provide the most helpful responses and avoid harmful topics when using Gemini. Your inbox is your business. That's why when you ask Gemini in Gmail to summarize a lengthy thread — or do other tasks in your inbox for you — it “clocks in” to complete the task and then leaves your inbox. Gemini in Gmail doesn’t store your info, or use your personal emails to train our foundational AI models. Blake Barnes, our VP of Product at Gmail, explains how this works ⬇️
