Here is an extremely good feature idea. Add an ability to add a temporary overlay, where it is just a bunch of lines like paper. but it is transparent except for the lines, which are semi transparent. This overlay is helpful when writing on empty spaces of pdfs which do not have guiding lines. The overlay should be sticky to the page, not the screen, and should be easily togglable from an always visible button.
Please bring back the drag and drop feature

Firstly I want to say that I’m in love with this app, I downloaded it for all my friends who want to take notes digitally. In the new update the drag and drop feature was disabled for fear of accidentally copying something, which I completely understand but I find that disabling it made copying something more tedious and honestly more annoying, as you either need to use the duplicate function (which sometimes makes the duplicate appear in the most random places) or you need to use the copy and past functions (if you need to copy and paste multiple things it becomes annoying) I think there is already a very simple solution if you accidentally copied something, you can simply just undo the action or delete it with the lasso tool.Thank you for creating a wonderful app and please take into consideration to re-enabling the drag and drop copying feature
New pay to use update.

If you feel it necessary to add a paywall to thee most basic of features that we previously had for free, then so be it. But please don’t patronize your clients through some long-winded malarkey about why a paywall is good thing. I’m a student who doesn’t have the funds to be paying for every little thing that comes across my screen. This app was critical to my education and now you press to use simple underlining and it prompts an upgrade. By all means this is your app and how and what you do with it is at your discretion. But at least have the common decency not to veil it behind some vapid excuse for your love of money. We all have to make ends meet but don’t act like your supporters are imbeciles.
Combines best features from goodnotes and notability

I’ve been using goodnotes for about 3 years and I’ve switched over because of goodnotes switching to a subscription based model. Freenotes is free and offers the same as goodnotes but more. Only feature it’s missing is the handwriting recognition but I don’t use it much anyway. I hate how all the competitors are subscription based a lot of work went into this app it’s great!
New Features
