The service itself is fine, the app is awful and horribly flawed.

I listen to SiriusXM XM quite often on my phone while I'm working around the house. The app hasn't ever been great, but since this somewhat recent facelift, it's been almost unuseable. The station I frequent is Radio classics. The shows they play are available to replay for a period of time, then they go away. When I choose the station (which is hard to find due to the horrible layout of the homescreen), it shows nothing at the bottom where the "on demand" shows normally are. To get around this, I have to rewind the station at least 2 shows back to prove to the app that this station DID IN FACT have some amount of shows before the one playing live. After all that, the shows appear, but that works only around 2/3 of the time, the other 1/3 times it never shows them. The next problem i've encountered (actually the most recent), is that the app will crash every 2 to 5 minutes. This will happen when my phone is locked in my pocket with the app playing like normal. I have not changed any settings, and I don't have any other apps running at the same time. There is no reason this app should be so hard to use! All you need to have is a list with all the channels shown, with a function to search for a station, and the stations sorted by category, and then a "favorites list" and that's it! The only reason we are still paying for this, are the music stations my mother enjoys in her car, and the fact that the "in-vehicle" experience is actually great! The app is really the only problem I have with Sirius XM.

I originally received Sirius free for 3 months with my vehicle purchase, it was okay but I didn't use it much because I already had my radio station in an app and listened to my content through other platforms and they were not on the app!!! I received a call from a customer service representative who was letting me know I could have 3 more months for only $2, ask me about content I liked, suggested some channels and such!!! Now this call came while I was in the car with two crying, fighting, singing kids that I had just picked up from daycare, so it was difficult to hear the lady and I was attempting to get her off the phone...I listened to about 2 episodes and a few kids songs before resorting back to the platforms I know and love...fast forward 3 months and I'm charged for the subscription that I didn't know I had to cancel, so I immediately open a chat to cancel and ask for a refund, they refuse to give me a refund stating that I had 7 days to cancel (3 mos ago) and since I had not canceled at that time their policy stated no refund!!! So now I've paid for another month (almost $30) for something I've not used in 2.5 months, will not be using in the next 30 days, but the "integrity" of this company is to keep someone's money for a product they don't want, didn't ask for and won't be using!!! BRAVO Sirius what a great business model you have!!!
Latest app version is horrible

The latest app version is horrible. The channels used to be very easy to find, now it’s next to impossible to find the full channel lineup. Channels are grouped into genres or moods. Some channels you would expect to be in a genre are not, and they are not in a mood so it is hard to find them. Some channels are listed in several places, make up your mind where they belong! I can’t play the app through my TV anymore without it stopping when playing streaming channels sometimes after 1-2 songs or sometimes after 30 minutes. The help area on the XM site says it will cut off streaming every hour to make sure you are listening. How crazy is that? Maybe I leave it on for my dog to listen to during the day while I am away. Also annoying and didn’t happen before is the app will cut off randomly and give the message that the app is streaming on another device do I want to continue on this device. That is not correct, I am not streaming on any other device. So if I say yes, continue on this device, in a few more minutes, it will cut off again and give that same message about streaming on another device. Please bring back the old version or more of the functionality of the prior version. It is difficult to see the channel icons because they are so small in the list in the library or a channel lineup list. This is making me question the continued use of XM. It is becoming more aggravating than it’s worth.

A Siriusly shady business

I used to love SiriusXM. I had canceled my subscription (or so I thought) several months ago. I went back three days ago to start my subscription again. Because of the cancellation process that not only after you press cancel subscription it takes you to the next page that does not make it clear that it’s not canceled just yet. To fully cancel you have to first “chat” with a “customer service agent” between 8 am - 8pm. I searched for a contact number and came back with nothing. Why do they have a time frame when this “agent” is nothing more then AI and obviously not even a single decent human being within the crooked “company”. Lets call it for what it is. They stole hundreds of dollars from be when there had been multiple updates to terms and conditions in which not accepting would cancel service, and they still kept charging me. I had gotten a new card with a new information that I would had personally update myself which I never did and I still got charged. I mean why would I update it when I thought it was canceled not to mention any other service or website that my card had been used previously had to be updated by me with my new numbers that I never ever gave to siriusly shadyXM. And to think I almost bought back in to their overpriced services when I only probably listened to 3 maybe 4 stations. Yeah, that hurt a lot because I really needed that money you stole from me but I guess siriusly greedyXM needed it more then I did so they must be on some siriusly hard times(XM).
