I love this app. It’s a core part of why I love my photography hobby. The grain simulation is wonderful and the fact it’s so native to iOS is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been a user since it was a one time purchase app and I’ll forever subscribe to the pro version to support this. I loathe using Adobe products as a hobbyist and hate their model/costs when Dark Room is far better. I hope the developers never get acquired because this app is a gem. I can just quickly load RAW photos from my camera via a tiny SD to USB-C adapter on my iPhone in the Photos app, jump into Dark Room and do all my edits to the files, and do it on vacation or coffee shop without a laptop, it’s incredible. My only wish that would make it perfect… Add anamorphic desqueeze. So many lenses now and they the other desqueeze apps out there don’t respect RAW files and only export to JPG so grain just doesn’t look good no matter if I desqueeze before or after bringing it into Dark Room.
Crashing on new iPad M2

This week I been trying to back up and organize my photos. upload/download, then edit in Darkroom and re-upload to a photo site. I opted for darkroom over light room cause that’s how you develop photos in real life. Anyway I’m trying to edit about 1500 photos and after about 10 or 20 the app lags out and crashes. Progress is saved picture by picture so no loss of work. However, it would be nice if I could just select all and use a custom filter I made. Rather than having to go through each and every photo and click several buttons over an over for hours on end. Been at this for a few days on an off hour here hour there. So I think your app is having issues with my large library or it is just buggy, either way wanted to let you know my experience. just can’t do multiple photo edits and can’t seem to avoid crashes every few sets of edits. Thanks, love the app and will continue to use it. Fix the stability and add multiple image editing ability and I’ll start up a paid subscription. Edit-found the "Batch" edit, the ability to edit multiple photos was there the whole time. Please work on application stability
Screenshots are pictures too

If I could add one advanced feature it would be spot-selected white balance, but I'm content with the controls for the most part. If I could add one basic feature that really shouldn't be an issue, though, it'd be to import screenshots. Why the hell are screenshots excluded? I have this near-perfect photo editor and can't edit 1/4 of my photos. I know screenshots aren't ideal for printing but they're good for testing crops and testing edits of photos, the latter I can't do without making copies of photos thanks to this app's strange limitation. Yes I can test edits on a single image but I would have to note and undo every edit to try the next. It just seems so much more inefficient than simply allowing screenshots to be edited.Edit: added one star. It's good that screenshots aren't completely excluded, but I still wish they appeared in albums like normal photos do. In an attempt to declutter, per developer's response, I feel like they've actually created more clutter in making screenshots harder to navigate and cause needless frustration by making them disappear from albums they're in. If you want to declutter the normal camera roll, that's fine, but favorites and other albums should be left alone.
Developer Response
Screenshots are there, we just hide theme to declutter. In the Album selector, pick the Screenshots Smart Album and browse and edit to your hearts content.
This update fixes a crash that occurred when opening the Frame tool with a RAW photo, or issues loading plain images with the same workflow.
