This app is amazing for dummies. I went fishing with my boyfriend on his boat and we got lost on the way home. My first mistake was to trust him when he said let’s she where this stream takes us.. and to my gut feeling, he had no idea how to take us back to the boat dock. I remember scrolling past this tik tok and found this app! And thank goodness this one saved me because I am navigation illiterate when it comes to boating navigation. This one is by far the most easiest and colorful one yet. It was easy to follow. Definitely understood where I was going! And the best part was, I got to tell my boyfriend I was right! 10/10 would use over and over and over again. Especially when he tries to pull “let’s see where this takes us” line again. Now I don’t have to worry and can enjoy and relax my boat ride, and try to out fish him this time. Thank you to your daughter who posted the tik tok. And thank you to the creator who made it easy for girls who don’t understand boat navigation or who are just dumb and don’t understand it in general. Either way it was helpful!

I have a 16’ aluminum boat with a 40hp outboard and love to explore islands in Casco Bay in Maine. I looked at GPS systems and couldn’t rationalize the cost- not wanting to buy a system that cost half of my boat’s value. I downloaded Argo and it has helped me to plan trips and navigate the waters. I find it feature-rich and easy to use. I often plan trips in my house and it’s nice to chart routes and save them to favorites and then bring my phone on my boat. Would recommend to anyone in my situation or for someone looking for a backup to their gps navigation system. I don’t have a lot of friends using Argo yet- although I’ve recommended it, so I can’t speak much of the social tools included, but I can see those being a big plus. I also highly recommend purchasing a mounting system for your phone to affix to your boat’s dash- I did and it’s great to be able to reference the maps hand’s free while underway.

Best app for daily boaters or just occasional fishers

My father takes very frequent trips on his boat for the past 5-6 years and I showed him this app a few days ago & he LOVES it he hasn’t stopped using it it tells him everything he needs to know it lets him choose his own route, it’s basically google maps but for boats! This app is amazing and my father loves it definitely recommend, they have a whole section just for updates & this about the app, you can create your own boat profile and it shows you things best for your boat, it has a compass & tells about you how deep the water under you possibly is, it shows your speed, weather, winds & tides & it’s just amazing all the way around, my dad says give the creator a 10/10 love this & thank you for making it easier & really safer for my dad to be out by himself.
