This Adobe scanning app used to be very good. Recent updates have definitely elevated it to great! The main highlights at least how I have used it or that you just tap on the screen when your document is in view and the app along with what I presume is augmented reality technology using my iPhone 11 Pro Max cameras setup, automatically adjusts the the size of the scanning area to the corners of the document or paper you are scanning. In other words, it detects the size of the paper no matter how close your camera is to it, and crops out the document automatically, all with just one tap of the screen! I would guess this works on all iPhones too, as I had a 7 plus that I tested the app on; also did a pretty good job automatically detecting the document size. The ability to detect text is definitely a bonus, and it’s been pretty accurate for me but since I mainly use this application for scanning sheet music charts, I don’t often use text detection. Great for scanning receipts or forms though too, whenever I may need to use that feature, say, instead of having to 1: print out a form, 2: fill it out with pen, 3: scan it to a computer, 4: FAX it to another place or person. Instead of all those steps, I just tap my phone screen, it scans, and then I’m free to just email the scan!Amazing, the recent updates made it even quicker and actually a lot of fun to use, and very useful and intuitive for all types of uses.Thanks! As far as products that are free through Iniversities and up to an amount as individual personal accounts there isn’t any other way u will get the OCR accuracy that will auto save to an amazing platform to do with as you please. I agree the Document auto sensor takes a pretty good amount of pics before u r ready leaving you with extra steps to delete the ones u do not need , I recommend placing your phone at a fixed angle with whatever you want as long as it’s overhead the documents you will be scanning for actual paper imag scans and it will definitely speed up all the filing of important documents one may save like resumes, Fingerprint Clearence Card Images, aEmployment Related Documentts, Bank and Finance Contracts, Titles, Registration tooo Vehicles, Health Records, and such you will have what you need at the tip of your finger to assist and print off if necessary or attach too email too someone be , some place , Human Resources, ai even keep a copy of My aGn Permits and Concealed Carry just in case it was ever necessary in public. Much more you can do and touch up if u have Adobe Photoshop Skills or a numerous amount of mage creation and automation applications as well all the way to basic photo capturing on a DSLR uploaded photos onto your Laptop and then your really in luck if you understand the sucrinicity and have an understanding or history of photography then Adobe is your one stop shop as well that’s a given. Anyways you won’t be disappointed and it’s all easy to learn these days with online resources.

The software is free, more intricate than it may seem, easy to use, and is backed by the comittment of Adobe, Inc. Product continues to improve, and combined with Acrobat or other Adobe iPad Pro apps, just about as good for someone who preserves, categorizes, presents, and shares documents after easy editing and repesoitory in the Creative or Document clouds. In the end, its user choice, with some good alternatives, but this has long term potential and integration is important for ease of use and quality control. I always return to Adobe Scan after trying everything else new. The developers I believe, will maintain their pride in applying knowledge from so many areas within Adobe, that it will become a “Professional” Standard in not too long. Enjoy watching techology change at an accelerating pace. I recently refinanced my home thru a virtual mortgage co. using electronic document exchange & signing as preferred by my company & many others, allowing and immediacy of interaction and environmental responsibility.I was very worried that I’d be unable to do the scanning, signing, and uploading with just my iPad mini and iPhone 7 Plus. I had no funds fora new “real” computer & feared id have to drive from my rural home to the nearest town everyday to have a business do the scanning for the process.Adobe was recommended by my refi' co' to allow glich-free document exchange by any parties in the transaction. I used a reputable scanning app I was already familiar with until (perhaps queued by Adobe acrobat) I spotted the Adobe Scan app I had downloaded but not yet tried. WHAT an improvement was my experience using Adobe Scan! I simply laid my papers in a row along a solid colored floor runner and stepped sideways click clicking away at doc's up to 27 pages long. The app scanned so well, I could hardly step to the next page before Adobe Scan had the previous page formatted. Yet like some apps, A'S' did not close a doc' if I had a short delay between pages. The few bad scans were easily deleted at anytime during the procedure.I am happy to tell you I succeeded refinancing my home using only an iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 7 Plus, with the exception of closing day, when the co's closing agent sat in my living room to witness and notarize my signatures for final settlement.
