it’s one of the best editing apps if you don’t have Tik Tok like me but when I first got the app at the bottom of the screen there was a button saying templates and when you tapped it all of the different templates would appear and you can choose on but the next day I went to make a template and saw that the buttons on the bottom of the screen had disappeared, and when I tapped on the section for my templates it said “Open TikTok and and search capcut templates to check out more templates” I honestly hate the fact that you have to use another app just to use one feature in one app and where did the templates button go?

This app used to be the most convenient free editing app. They were rather generous in terms of adding a variety of features and effects with a user interface that anybody can get comfortable with. The app was also comprehensive enough were even seasoned professionals can get high standard work from it. Now in 2025, this app is practically useless without CapCut Pro. They got greedy and withheld previously free features. The face tracking feature going to Pro was aggravating enough but then they removed more and more free features. Removing the auto captions feature was a huge blow but making exports without a watermark a Pro feature was my last straw. I’d suggest alternative editing apps in 2025.

I knew nothing about video editing and making reels and had the app on my phone for months scared to use it. I had edit videos for someone’s social media and had to jump in head first into this app and it is SO EASY TO USE. I have been making multiple videos now and it’s my first week of using it. The phone app is soo user friendly and makes it straightforward to figure out video editing. Love the auto captions!! Everything great.
