Looking to improve your English, French or Spanish? Learna creates a space for free-flowing conversations and curated lessons based on your existing skills and goals, and its virtual tutors are on hand to guide you along every step of your learning journey. Here’s why we love learning in the app.

To begin, tell the app a bit about yourself. It asks for your native language, interests, level and language-learning aim – whether that’s to improve your English for professional or educational reasons or to pick up casual, conversational phrases for an upcoming trip. Then, choose how long you’d like to study for each day (it can be as little as five minutes) and the time you’d like to start your practice, and the app will create your personalised learning plan.

Head to the Home tab to see your learning plan, which consists of colourful modules containing lessons. Tap the user account icon on the bottom right to choose from various personas (our favourite is Bento!). The modules follow a route as you unlock each level based on subjects you’ve chosen during your onboarding, such as career, travel and education. They’re really interactive, too: jump in to enjoy real-time conversations with your tutor, receive feedback on your speaking and writing skills, and try activities focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation and more.

Curious to see how many new words you’ve learnt or want to check your learning streak? There’s a whole tab dedicated to monitoring how well you’re doing in Learna. Tap the Progress tab to see stats on your vocabulary practice, your average lesson times and more. It’s a satisfying way to see how far you’ve come, and provides ample motivation to keep studying.
