Need an Option to Hide the Tab Bar for a Cleaner Workspace
Whateverthinsgushshshaha
GoodNotes is a powerful app for note-taking, but there’s one major drawback that disrupts an otherwise smooth experience: the fixed tab bar at the top of the screen. The blue tab area, which shows open documents and navigation options, takes up valuable screen space, especially on smaller devices. When I’m working, all I really need are the essential tools—the pen, highlighter, and eraser. However, there’s currently no way to hide or minimize the tab bar without sacrificing my ability to edit.A simple option to collapse or hide the tab bar would make a big difference in usability. For those of us focused on creating notes without distraction, having a clean, minimalistic workspace is essential. Adding a feature to toggle the tab bar’s visibility, while still keeping editing tools accessible, would really enhance the experience and improve workflow efficiency.GoodNotes is fantastic in many ways, but the lack of flexibility with the tab bar significantly impacts the overall user experience. I hope the development team considers this feedback for future updates. It’s a small change that would greatly enhance the functionality of an already powerful app.
One issue and few features I’d love in goodnotes
repors
Goodnotes You better read this review, it took 10min of my life don’t let it go to waste 🙄So let’s start with the first and only issue I face 🌝It’s a great app and I’m loving every second of it I actually stopped notability because of how awesome goodnotes is, however there’s ONE issue I have that made me miss notability which is the undo and redo gestures, i would really love if it was much smoother and responsive like in notability, It really irritates me when I’m taking a quick note and double tap to undo or redo something so quick but isn’t responsive, it isn’t that big of a problem but just this minor issue effects my joy of note taking 🥲 so yeah I hope you’d improve the responsiveness of the gestures That’s for the one issue now the features 😂A feature I’d like to be in goodnotes is the ability to make and save the changes I make for multiple notebooks, like adjusting brush sizes and color pallets for a certain notebook, I have 7 school docs. saved in my goodnotes, and each one has different theme to it, It bothers me that I have to keep adjusting them every time I open them, it would save me a lot of time and a little effort when note taking 😜Another feature I’d like and I think everyone would love if not the majority, is brush stabilization, I know this isn’t procreate 🙄but what is note taking without the doodles and drawing we make to make our notes look cute, 😌 this would improve my hideous handwriting for sure and take note taking to a whole new level I swear if this feature was ever introduced I would ditch every drawing app 🤣
Some changes need to be made
userforav.longtime
The app is great and all but on the long run it becomes tedious. When I want to move a scribble text or a picture from one page to another ,I CANT . I literally have to copy and paste . Also if I’m writing on a picture and I select the image with the scribble text to move the scribble literally doesn’t move with it . When I select something I expect select all not just one type . And the select tool if a choose a part of pdf and want to copy it , it makes me save it as a screen shot ,waste of storage space . It would be just easier to copy and paste it without the screen shot thing .As well as the pen tool some more types would be nice like a dotted pen or a double lined pen .and instead of a whole tool bar taking space it would be better if I can chose the tool I mostly use and maybe have it on side instead of up and down would be great . I’ve been using this app around two months literally daily and I hope these changes are to be made to get a better experience.
