SPLICE has always been my go-to app since 2013. This was the year instagram allowed 15-sec video clips, and I remember it was so difficult to put every special moment captured on cam with that amount of time. Then, I chanced upon Splice and I loved (still do!) how it gave me control over my chosen clips in every video and photo I’d like to insert. Unlike other video apps, while there is convenience in a feature that has a default ready-made clip, it doesn’t really give you the full control in which second would you like a specific visual to pop, not to mention this allows you the music you like to add for a more dramatic effect. They have a wide a range of themed background sounds and if you want, you can also record from your microphone sounds you preferably want for your final output! This made me reminisce those days when I enjoyed recording music from blank tapes. The precision must be done well, but no fuss, as I can record over and over again with Splice. Over time, I guess I have mastered the art of Splice—at least from my own perspective. And I hope people get to enjoy it as much as I have for the last 6 years!

Hi guys,Love the app. Bought it a few years back and it’s the only editing app I use. Trouble is I’ve just got a new iPhone and it doesn’t recognise my previous lifetime purchase and is now trying to get me to subscribe. I can’t contact support cause the page won’t load. Can someone please help. I love the app but as far as I’m concerned I bought it in 2015, I’m not interested in subscribing for something I’ve already paid for. If need be I’ll just have to send the vids to my old iPhone for editing. Can some devs help me out here or explain what’s going on? Cheers guys.

The older version I have on my old iPad3 is good, but the newer version I downloaded when I got a new iPad won’t let each save anything without buying premium, and the view is not as intuitive, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to add transitions now....Don’t you hate it when you get a good app, then someone ‘improves’ it and basically ruins it? I might have brought the premium based on my experience with the older version on the iPad 3, if they had offered some premium features.... Now I’d not pay for the upgrade simply because when developers start removing features from a good app, (or making them only available for paid versions) it’s usually the start of a downhill run for that app as clearly something has changed in the ethos of the dev team, and the removal of key features usually results in a large chunk of previously loyal users uninstalling and going elsewhere, and eventually this hits the bottom line for the developer, and suddenly you have paid for an app who’s developers are no longer updating it, and there is no longer any interest in, or direction from the app from the developers so it turns out to be an obsolete lemon.If you have a popular app, don’t take all the popular features away from people and make them paid only, figure out a way to capitalize on what you and offer people something worth buying, rather than trying to force people to pay for a sinking ship....betcha in another few months -a year this app sees a dramatic drop in the popularity and the number of active users...

Been using splice from around 4-5 years just for basic kids videos and mainly joining couple of videos to make a single one to be used as a memory. Had number of projects saved and I always loved the fact Splice was free. Didn’t use the app for almost a year and last week when i updated the app when I had to join a video clip I was suprised the app is no longer free, I will have to delete most of my save projects to create a new, thought it still has free options but I was gutted to se 5 minutes ago when App was not updated I had the option to at least export the project in 4K. It was gone now unless I pay or start the trial which i would never want to. It took me a long time to learn and master the splice and unfortunately have to move to capcut now. I do not have any real need to buy this app and it would have been appreciated if some pro options like export would have 5 exports per months available for free and more than that people will need to buy. I have over 100 videos of my kids in my iPhone tagged as created with Splice which I joined over the years and sadly it will be also be a memory now..
