This used to be my back-pocket buddy, and now it's the time-wasting moron in your quarterly business review meeting. Seriously, ChatGPT *was* a game-changer for me.Unfortunately, recent changes have severely undermined its core usefulness. While it can still handle some broader data modeling well, its ability to follow specific instructions or provide accurate, verifiable information has plummeted.Ask it for specific technical help (like software features), and it often invents answers rather than admitting ignorance, even when told to cite sources. Give it a precise editing task it once handled flawlessly, and it now frequently tries to rewrite content entirely or, when corrected, defaults to unhelpfully brief outputs. It even disregarded my established expertise on a tech issue, offering basic (and incorrect) troubleshooting before finally, after much prompting, stumbling upon the actual recent external problem. It feels like the model is now more geared towards generic 'creativity' than precise instruction-following, making it unreliable and time-consuming. What once saved time now consistently costs it. I've cancelled my subscription because of this decline. A real shame for what was once a groundbreaking tool.
