it's stuck. My friends send me a message and it doesn't open to answer. Also, if I click on a message to open it, all the rest of the application is stuck. I don't want to disconnect and make a new messenger because I'm afraid I'll lose my contacts and everything else. I've restarted and it didn't help. I try to open the settings by clicking on my photo and it opens but it doesn't write anything, it's emptyPlease do something to help me ,as soon as possible ,because I use the messenger for my business and I have to contact with my customers Thank you

The app is living in 2008. Today, we have 5G phones capable of doing gigabit anywhere with unlimited data, we have WiFi routers that support multiple gigabits, we have fiber optics at home for cheap, but this app will send at 240p or maybe 144p sometimes. Photos are utterly poor, the minute you zoom in you see pixels galore. And I’m not even gonna talk about the resources hogging on both phone and desktop. It’s a chat app, what you need so much RAM for? Voice messages limit at 1 minute? Cannot send files larger than 25MB? Or videos larger than a few minutes? Cannot scrub through a voice message? When you forward a message, it gives you a huge list of people YOU’VE NEVER EVER CHATTED WITH, what the actual … And it only has 2 recent contacts on top. Just give me my chat list to select for god … you cannot even share stuff on other apps such as videos or voice messages. You have to save the video and then share it from your gallery, which you can’t even do with voice messages. When someone replies to an attachment and I tap on it to see which one it is, it just scrolls up, without an indication which attachment they’re referring to. And if said attachment is old, the app needs a few HOURS to scroll up, why can’t I just scroll up instantly like LITERALLY EVERY OTHER CHAT APP? I can’t edit sent messages. I can’t believe that the biggest social platform in the world, and one of the largest most popular companies ever, cannot develop a competent enough app for chatting. I bet you have countless programmers being paid extremely high salaries for this, when a kid in its mothers basement can make a 1000 times better app. For free.

It’s so bad that I don’t know where to start from. When I press reply the only thing I can see is three blue bubbles. If I press on one I realize the one means emoji the other voice and the other scribble. Why I can’t see any emojis?! Also why I can’t see any photo of any of my friends? What if I have two friends that have the same name? Also the reply just doesn’t work or I just can’t click on some conversations just randomly. Also no gif support and no calls support. What are you people doing?! Are you serious? You are multi billion dollar company and you make an app that a kid from my college can make better than you do? Invest a bit on making a useful interface with no bugs and also I have to say it really is a shame that you are so blinded that you don’t see people’s suggestions people's complains and people’s needs. Of course I am sure you will not even read this review and you will do nothing for fixing those things but I had to say it for other people to see how bad Facebook is being in accepting our ideas.
Many MANY issues

Messenger used to be normal and quite fun too. It was useful and usable. But now numerous issues, which, for your information, are terribly frustrating, have arisen. I cannot change my profile picture nor my name, I cannot edit the nicknames in group chats, and, the most important of all, all the photos that had been sent and saved in the chats are no longer there. It’s absolutely terrible because in many chats these were 2 years worth of photos. Not to mention that the new ones are not being saved either, nor can they be edited. My complain message was either never delivered or bluntly ignored. I’m getting tired of this and, as I gather from other people’s reviews and from my friends, other people are too. Fix this please. In the middle of a global pandemic, functional messaging apps are all we have. It is imperative you fix this.
