Good learning application with few downsides
mehdi2900_
The application focuses on teaching you a language of your choice in a very easy way with repeating those new words to you so you can never forget them but there are quite some things that bothered me through my journey with this application First of all the heart-bar takes a long time to fully charge ( 6 hours for one heart is just too much ) And even if you want to skip those 6 hours and just practice your words to earn a heart the practice will only focus on words you’ve learned way earlier that you already know their meaning by heart.Secondly, the leaderboard is a whole mess.. the fact that users who paid for the “super” experience compete with those that didn’t pay for it is annoying. Those who did pay will have more available challenges to gain more xp and they got no limit on their tries so you could end up in a league where the super users have waayyy to much xp than the regular users. Which isn’t fair at all.Another thing is TOO MANY ADS, an ad after every lesson is too much and i’m not talking about those 5 sec ads i’m talking about the ones promoting super Duolingo and duolingo max. Should make a limit to these ads per day. Other than that i have some suggestions:-I would appreciate it if you add an exercise where we learn words and their opposites.-would be great if you added tables where you list common verbs and their conjunction with each pronoun -the exercise where you listen to the word and guess the correct way to write it should add the meaning of the word learnt And that’s all, i hope my review makes duolingo a better experience for all of us.A presto,
Disappointed

Im so disappointed, ever since duolingo changed from hearts that drop when u make a mistake to energy bars that every time u answer a question a bar drops, the whole learning experience has gone downhill, ive been using this app since i was in highschool and now im finishing university i used to love it, but now i cant help but feel extremely sad and disappointed the whole spirit of the app has changed from educational and nurturing to money centered and pushing the paid plans down our throats. I miss the old duolingo, if this continues ill just drop the app and move somewhere else
Our mascot owl, Duo, is trading in his usual diet of mice for bugs this week. Yup, we’re squashing those pesky bugs to make the experience better for all of you.
