Overall, the game is really fun, but the ads are waaay too long and there are so many updates that it is really hard to keep it up to date, so if I come back after a break from it, I have to download like 3 updates. Another thing I would like to add is that I download this way back, and back then there were fun bosses to battle and it was a lot more addictive. The minion rush team have tried their best to make this game fun again by doing things like the minions rise of gru events which are a lot of fun and you can get cool rewards but it gets outrageous quickly. At the start you need to collect 10 hammer and 3 levels later, your at 300. If the devs fix the events , shorten the ads and bring back the bosses, this game will definitely be 5 stars.

I first downloaded the game back when it was first released (maybe 2014?) and the game has changed a lot since then. The game itself tests your reaction speed to obstacles and the gameplay and visuals are really good, the locations and costumes are very realistic. If you spend enough time on the game, a lot of the costumes that you can only get through purchasing can be obtained, which I do like because not everyone can afford to spend money constantly on a game.The game itself also offers watching an ad as payment for some items, which is fair, but recently even after watching an ad I somehow get told my connection is cut out and I’d have to watch the ad again? The ads are usually a minute long, and I found recently that a lot of times I have to interact in the ad to be able to get the ad to count (not sure if that’s just a coincidence because this wasn’t a problem last week). I also find this game drains my battery a bit, not sure if that’s because I have to watch so many ad videos, like 100% battery could be gone within one hour if I’m playing this game. I’m on rank 15 but I deleted the game just now out of pure frustration. I think even 30 second ads are fine but 60 seconds, with the same ads, is very annoying.

The original game with the jam levels was classic and had charm, and then the update with the rooms was very different, but still had the classic map style and still retained that charm and fun. Now the game honestly is ugly and looks very basic due to the new soulless design. This is detrimental as a classic game that was strongly upheld by nostalgia and its timeless design that matched the movies, removing a key aspect that contributed to much of the game’s value. The new update would be much better simply if they switched to the old graphics and design, even if they kept the functionality the same. Though, in the previous versions characters having their own unique ability really made the game fun and actually provided incentive to collect more characters. Overall, reintroducing the old maps and character designs, maintaining the charm and the unique look of the game while keeping the new features, would greatly improve this version and its reception. It is such a shame to see classic game ruined.

I guess the developers must’ve been trying to make the game more interesting but it failed miserably. As someone who played when I was younger it was actually really enjoyable. The updates have taken away from the actual game. It is a running game and you hardly get to play what with all the ads and the update of these ‘tasks’. With the tasks you do not get to play that much because the tasks are too quick. If when you made this you thought it would make it more interesting and more addicting for people to keep playing, it isn’t. It is sickening to have to do all of this stupid stuff after you run on a map for about 20 seconds. ALSO ADS ARE SO BAD. I understand games need ads but the ads on here don’t even give you a place to click off. I can’t actually play because other games’ ads are in the way of the ‘close’ button and there are no other ways to get out.
